Association of Palestinian Local Authorities Condemns Israeli Practices in Hebron

The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities called on counterpart and partner institutions around the world and cities that are friends of Palestine and advocates for our cause, to act to expose the practices of the Israeli occupation and its plans to change the features of the Old City of Hebron and displace the Palestinians living there in order to build settlers’ quarters in their place.

The Association condemned the announcement by the minister of the Israeli occupation army "Naftali Bennett" of the intention of the occupation to begin the establishment of Israeli quarters in the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque and the central market in the old town and to give instructions to demolish Palestinian homes and stores to establish settlers’ quarters in their place. The Association warned against the gravity of the decision.

The Association stressed its solidarity and stand with the Municipality of Hebron and the residents of the city and all the organizations and the governorate to reject this decision. The Association also affirmed full support and efforts to mobilize support and backing to reject Israeli practices and to take a serious and decisive position to put pressure on the occupation government and put an end to these practices that undermine international laws and resolutions.
